The victim told that her husband used to be violent with her every day when he was under the influence of alcohol. Fed up with the harassment, the woman has lodged a complaint at Sakhi One Stop Centre, Patna.

Married in 2012

This matter is of Patna City. The woman had polio in childhood. Both of them were married in 2012 and have three children. The husband is a rickshaw puller and had gone to Tamil Nadu in 2018 to work as a labourer. The violence had increased after returning home on Chhath festival.

Accused of trying to take off clothes in front of children

The victim alleges that her husband used to come home drunk at night and tried to take off her clothes in front of the children. When she protested, she was brutally beaten. The woman says that she is completely mentally broken due to this behaviour.

Husband claims illicit relationship with another woman

The woman alleged that her husband was having an illicit relationship with another woman. He tells the other woman that his wife is dead. One day the woman also saw her husband in an objectionable position with another woman. When she protested, the husband beat her again. The victim told that her husband used to come drunk every night and beat her. Once during the fight, blood started flowing from her head, after which she reached Sakhi One Stop Centre.

Husband denied the allegations

At the same time, husband Vishnu (36) has termed all the allegations made by his wife as baseless. On the contrary, he has made character-related allegations against his wife. The husband says that he does not give his wife a mobile phone because he suspects that she talks to other men.

What did the counselor of the one stop center say?

Sakhi One Stop Center counselor Shilpi Kumari said that the woman had reached the center on December 2 with serious injuries. Blood was also flowing from his head. First he was given medical treatment. Investigation and questioning of neighbors revealed that she was beaten by her husband. Counseling was done for both of them, but at present no mutual agreement has been reached.

The victim wants to become self-reliant

The victim says that despite being disabled, she wants to become self-reliant and want to work, for which she needs a mobile phone. Although the husband is not ready for this. At present, the date of next counseling of the case has been fixed and the team of One Stop Center is keeping an eye on the entire matter.
