“The beard turning white is a natural thing; the player will remain the same as he is, and I feel that Kohli will play the 2027 World Cup.”
He pointed towards Kohli’s timeless legacy, as the legendary player remains unaffected by factors like age; he still is and will be one of the finest batters from India.
Navdeep Saini foresees Kohli in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027
Navdeep Saini, the former pacer who has played for India across all three formats but has not been called up in recent times, has backed Virat Kohli to be committed and fit enough to star for India in the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup.
It was the buzz about whether the 37-year-old cricketer, who would be 39 by the time of the World Cup, should be part of the Indian side for the ICC tournament, which has been answered befittingly by the veteran’s former RCB teammate.
Kohli is still one of India’s finest batters and still scores valuable runs for them across any format; however, with his retirement from the other two formats, he will only play the ODI format as of now. Even the Indian management has agreed that it is very difficult to replace Kohli’s legacy at No. 3 as of now.
