New Delhi: Ishan Kishan’s power-packed century helped Jharkhand thrash Haryana in the final match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2025 by 69 runs to bag their maiden title at the MCA stadium in Pune on Thursday.
Chasing a massive total of 263, Haryana, who were also eyeing their first title, bundled out for 193 in 18.3 overs despite a half-century from Yashvardhan Dalal and a 38-run knock from Samant Jakhar. Jharkhand, which produced an all-round effort, thus became the 12th team in the domestic competition to win the title.
In the entire tournament, Jharkhand were flawless all through winning nine matches and losing just a lone game. This is just their second domestic title, following the Vijay Hazare Trophy triumph in 2010-11.
