PM Awas Yojana Fraud Prayagraj: The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PM Awas Yojana) is one of the ambitious schemes of the Modi government, which aims to give roof to the poor and homeless families. But the disclosure from Prayagraj (Prayagraj) is questioning the transparency and monitoring of this scheme. About 9000 people fake and grabbed a total of Rs 108 crore with the first installment of Rs 1.20 lakh.

Why disturbances in pension schemes too?
- Not only the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but also a huge disturbance in pension schemes.
- In the widow pension scheme, more than 100 women who were either married or who died, they still received an amount of more than Rs 12 lakh.
- Pension continued in the name of 2,351 deceased beneficiaries under the old age pension scheme.
- Overall, a fraud of about 40 lakh rupees was done only in pension schemes.
Are there serious flaws hidden in the system?
The district administration made it clear that there is no concrete provision to withdraw the incorrect amount given in the existing rules. This is the reason why there is difficulty in action. This raises the question that-
- Are there major flaws in the verification system of government schemes?
- Was the officials deliberately ignore this fraud?
- Or is it an organized conspiracy of a large network?
What will be the action?
Chief Development Officer Harshika Singh has ordered an inquiry into all the cases and the process of recovering the amount from the culprits has been started. Responsibility of officers who passed fake applications are also being fixed. PM Awas Yojana Scam and Pension Fraud have once again proved that if the monitoring is weak, welfare schemes are given to corruption. The question of how the money of the poor’s rights reached the fake beneficiaries still demands a deep investigation.
