Fashion designer Bina Ramani revealed that it was she who introduced Rekha to businessman Mukesh Aggarwal. According to Ramani, Mukesh’s love convinced Rekha for marriage. This marriage, which took place in 1990, ended with Mukesh’s suicide after 7 months.
Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan are often in the news because of their relationship. Now during a recent interview, fashion designer Bina Ramani revealed why Rekha had decided to marry businessman Mukesh Aggarwal despite being in love with Amitabh Bachchan. Ramani told that it was she who introduced Rekha to Mukesh.
How did Rekha and Mukesh meet for the first time?
Bina Ramani said, ‘Mukesh talked to Rekha for only two-three minutes and then he started asking me for Rekha’s number. After this he asked me to give him my number. Then Mukesh took Rekha’s number and then called her. Mukesh Aggarwal was no one special. He was short and dark in height, but when you started talking to him, you would understand that he was a very nice person. Even if he passes in front of you six times, you will not be able to recognize him. On the other hand, she was a diva. With immense sincerity in his eyes he started telling me that he could talk to Rekha. He further said that if I ever got a chance to meet Rekha, you don’t know what it would mean to me and what you would have achieved. She will be the happiest person in the world.

Why did Rekha marry Mukesh?
Ramani also claimed that Mukesh Aggarwal’s love probably convinced Rekha that he was right to marry her. Talking about this he said, ‘Then suddenly we read in the newspaper or on TV that they got married. I was in shock. I didn’t expect it so soon. I think with time, Rekha’s life was going on in Mumbai, so it was kind of a dream, just a hope. It was impossible for him to adjust to Delhi. Let us tell you that Rekha was married to Delhi businessman and television manufacturer Mukesh Aggarwal. The two got married in 1990, but their marriage did not last more than seven months as Mukesh Aggarwal committed suicide while Rekha was in London. However, the reason behind this has not been revealed yet.
