T20 International cricket is returning after almost 3 years at Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. In such a situation, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the fans to watch this match. But the wait of the eager and enthusiastic fans for this match increased further because the match could not start at the scheduled time. The start of the fourth match of the T20 series between India and South Africa was delayed and the reason for this was not rain. Rather, the reason for this was the dense fog in Lucknow, due to which the toss had to be postponed for some time.

The toss of the fourth T20 match between India and South Africa was to be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, 17 December. All the players and fans were ready for this. But then fog started appearing over the field, which gradually became dense. In such a situation, the umpires had to decide to postpone the toss. Then the umpires had decided that at exactly 6:50 pm they would take stock of the situation again and take a decision. But even after checking for the second time, the conditions did not seem suitable for starting the match and hence it was decided to check again at 7.30.

Shubman Gill out due to injury

Even though there was a delay in the start of the match, a big news came before that that star batsman Shubman Gill was out of the match. According to reports, Gill got injured after being hit by a ball in his leg during a practice session a day before the match. He could not recover from this injury in time, due to which it was decided to rest him from this match. Anyway, this series has not been good for Gill and he could score only 32 runs in 3 matches. Due to Gill being out, Sanju Samson’s return seems certain.
