Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025: Every Ekadashi falling every year is considered very sacred and important. The fast of Ekadashi is dedicated to Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the sustainer of the world. According to Drik Panchang, the fast of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi is observed twice a year. The first in Sawan and the second in the month of Paush. Every year the Ekadashi falling in the Shukla Paksha of Paush month is called Paush Putrada Ekadashi.

When is Pausha Putrada Ekadashi?
According to Drik Panchang, this time the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Paush month will start at 7:50 am on 30 December 2025. This date will end at 5 am on 31st December. In such a situation, the fast of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi will be observed on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. However, the fast of Gauna Paush Putrada Ekadashi and Vaishnav Paush Putrada Ekadashi will be observed on Wednesday, 31st December.
Auspicious time of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi Puja
On the day of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi, Brahma Muhurta will start at 05.24 am in the morning. This auspicious time will last till 06:19 pm. Pratham Sandhya Muhurta will start at 05:51 in the morning. This auspicious time will last till 07:13 pm. Abhijit Muhurta will start at 12.03 pm. This auspicious time will last till 12.44 pm. Vijay Muhurta will last till 02:07 pm. This auspicious time will last till 2:49 pm. Nishita Muhurta will start at 11:57 pm. This auspicious time will last till 12:51 pm.
Paush Putrada Ekadashi Puja Method
On the day of Paush Putrada Ekadashi, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take bath and wear pure yellow colored clothes. After this, take a pledge to fast by taking water, flowers or Akshat in your hand. Then place the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi on a pedestal in the home temple. After this, light a desi ghee lamp. Offer yellow flowers and sandalwood to God. Then wear yellow clothes. Then offer Panchamrit, Tulsi Dal, yellow fruits and yellow sweets. Chant Vishnu Mantra and listen or read the story of the fast. Complete the puja by performing aarti. Do jagran or bhajan-kirtan throughout the night. Break the fast the next day at an auspicious time.
