Which has created an uproar on social media. What’s in the video? Let us know the story of ghee.
Two days ago, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev’s company Patanjali suffered a big setback. A sample of Patanjali ghee failed in the test in Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. On which the Additional District Magistrate Court imposed a fine of Rs 15 thousand on Patanjali Company, distributors and shopkeepers selling ghee and Rs 1.25 lakh on Patanjali Company.
Patanjali called the order erroneous
Patanjali termed this order of the court as erroneous. The company raised many questions through a long post on social media. In which it was said that the referral laboratory was not accredited by NABL for testing cow ghee. In such a situation, the test conducted there is not acceptable from the legal point of view. It is highly objectionable that a sub-standard lab has declared Patanjali’s best cow ghee as sub-standard.
And what did Patanjali company say?
The company further said that the parameters on the basis of which the sample was declared unsuccessful were not applicable at the time the sample was taken, hence their use was legally incorrect. Patanjali company further argued that the re-testing was done after the expiry date of the sample had passed, which is not valid as per law.
Baba Ramdev’s video went viral
Amidst all this controversy, yoga guru Baba Ramdev posted a video on social media. In this video, he was seen promoting Patanjali products while swimming in the swimming pool. Along with the post, Baba Ramdev wrote that in the name of collagen, are you also consuming the waste and danger of fish or pig skin extract and adulteration in the name of Chyawanprash, asafoetida, saffron and honey?
