In Bijnor, UP, a 14-year-old boy, out of revenge, injected cattle with oxytocin to a 7-year-old boy. The child died during treatment. The police is investigating the matter
Bijnor: A surprising news has come from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. Here, to avenge a minor quarrel, a 14-year-old boy took the life of an innocent 7-year-old child. He injected the child with dangerous ‘Oxytocin’, which is given to animals. This is the same injection which is used in villages to extract more milk from cows and buffaloes. The child’s condition deteriorated after the injection and he died during treatment in a hospital in Meerut.
The father of the murdered child has lodged a complaint with the police. According to the complaint, on June 25, his 13-year-old daughter was returning home from a madrassa in Bijnor. On the way, the accused 14 year old boy tried to molest her. Seeing this, the girl’s mother and her 7 year old brother (deceased) immediately reached there and saved her. Because of this the accused boy became enmity with the entire family.

The accused saw an opportunity on the evening of June 26 to teach the family members a lesson. Finding the 7 year old child alone, he forcefully took him to his home. There he inserted a syringe filled with oxytocin meant for cattle into the child’s body. According to the family members, the child did not show any special symptoms immediately after the injection. But from the next morning (June 27), the child started having severe convulsions and seizures all over his body.
The worried family members first took him to a local doctor. When his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Bijnor Medical College Hospital. But the child’s condition was continuously worsening as the poison had spread throughout the body. For better treatment, he was shifted to a super-speciality hospital in Meerut, but unfortunately the child died during treatment on Saturday night.
Awaiting postmortem report
On this incident, Circle Officer (CO) of Bijnor, Abhay Kumar Pandey said, “The case has been registered and investigation is going on. Whether the child died due to oxytocin injection or there is some other reason, it will be known only after the postmortem report comes.” This brutality of a minor boy has shocked the entire area.
