Haryana government has released the official holidays calendar for 2026. Government offices will remain closed for 124 days in a year, including Saturday-Sunday and gazetted holidays. 11 consecutive three-day leaves will give employees a chance to plan tours.

The Haryana government has released the official holiday calendar for 2026, which gives clear information about the opening and closing of government offices throughout the year. As soon as the calendar came out, there has been an increase in enthusiasm among the employees about tours and family plans.
How many days will government offices remain open in 2026?
According to the government calendar, in the year 2026, out of total 365 days, government offices will remain open for 241 days, while 124 days will be holidays.

- Gazetted (Public) Holidays: 20 days

Will get three consecutive days leave 11 times
2026 is going to be special for the employees. According to the calendar, leave of three days each will be given 11 consecutive times in 12 months. In such a situation, employees will be able to easily plan travel or family events without taking extra leave.
13 optional holidays, 3 to choose from
The government has fixed 13 optional (voluntary) leaves in the year 2026, out of which employees can take three leaves as per their convenience.

Putting all this together, employees can stay at home for an average of 157 days, while they will work in the office for 208 days.
Special days and public holidays
The government has declared 21 special days in 2026. There will be no holiday these days, rather programs will be organized at the government level. However, in the year 2026, 8 public holidays are falling on Saturday or Sunday, due to which employees will not get separate benefits on those holidays.
