Mining Auction: Madhya Pradesh has secured the leading position in the country in mineral auction, 2024-25 earned more than Rs 10,000 crore with a 23% increase in mineral revenue. The state is making mining capital.

Madhya Pradesh Mining Conclave: Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a pioneer in the country in the field of mineral auction. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state auctioned 29 mineral blocks in 2022-23 and secured first place in the country. Recently, the state has also achieved the distinction of becoming the first state in the country to implement the policy of the central government by auctioning critical minerals. For the highest auction of mineral blocks, Madhya Pradesh has been awarded the first and second prize by the Government of India in the year 2022 and 2025 in the year 2025. Realizing 23 percent increase as compared to last year, for the first time, he got revenue of more than 10 thousand crore rupees.

Increase in mineral revenue is constantly developing in the field of state mining under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. This is not only leading to economic development, but also increasing employment opportunities. In the financial year 2024-25, Madhya Pradesh registered a 23 percent increase in mineral revenue collection compared to the previous year and received revenue of more than Rs 10,000 crore for the first time. In the year 2023-24, this figure was Rs 4,958 crore. So far, the state has successfully auctioned a total of 103 mineral blocks, which is expected to get more than one lakh 68 thousand crore rupees in future. An investment proposals of more than Rs 20 thousand crore have been received in the Mining Conclave held in Bhopal on 17-18 October 2024 last year. Improvements such as transparent auction, environment-friendly mining and participation of local communities have increased the confidence of investors.

The Department of Minerals has auctioned several mineral blocks including graphite, rock phosphate, gold, manganese and copper. Recently, gold has been discovered in Jabalpur and Katni districts, while huge diamond reserves have been certified in Panna and Chhatarpur. Malajkhand copper mine of Balaghat is the largest copper mine in the country, while Panna’s medium diamond mine is the only active diamond mine in the country.

41 AI based e-checkgate established in the state

  • 41 AI-based e-checkgates are being installed in the state to prevent illegal mining and transportation control over illegal mining. Apart from this, the mineral excavation is being monitored by geo-tagging and 3-D imaging of mines with drone and satellite-based monitoring systems.
  • Use of Mineral Fund in development works, 16,452 projects have been approved in areas like education, health, drinking water, women-hair welfare, sanitation and skill development through the District Minerals Department. Of these, 7,583 projects have been completed.

One lakh carat diamond production in emerald

New achievements in precious minerals diamond (Diamond): Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country where one lakh carat diamond is produced per year from the Majhgwan diamond mine in Panna district. Apart from this, an estimated stock of 34.2 million carat diamonds has been found in Bandar Heera block located in Chhatarpur. Industrial development will be specially considered at the mining conference to be held on 23 August 2025 in Katni. Gold (Gold): A total of five gold blocks have been auctioned in Singrauli and Katni districts of the state, with 7.87 million tonnes of ore reserves available. There have been indications of large -scale gold availability in Sihora and Sleemnabad areas of Katni in Jabalpur. Millions of tonnes of gold ore in 100 hectares of area in Jabalpur district are expected to be found.
