Fact Check: Many fake videos related to the government’s schemes are going viral on social media, in which different claims are being made. A similar video is being broadcast a lot for the last few days, which states that the central government will give Rs 3500 to all the unemployed under the ‘PM Unemployment Allowance Scheme’. PIB’s fact check team has appealed to them to be cautious, terming this claim and video as fake.

What is being claimed in viral video?

The shorts video of a YouTube channel named The Yojana Hub claims that the government is giving financial assistance of Rs 3500 to unemployed youth. In the fake video, it is said that under the Prime Minister’s Unemployment Allowance Scheme, money is being sent directly to the bank account of educated youth every month. For this, you will only have to give your Aadhaar card, marksheet, mobile number and photo. Let us know that all the fake videos related to government schemes have been put in the YouTube channel named The Yojana Hub. The channel has 11 subscribers and a total of 7 shorts videos have been uploaded in it.
