But he returned in the auction and Chennai Super Kings took a bet on him. Chennai Super Kings included Sarfaraz Khan in their team for his base price of Rs 75 lakh.

Sarfaraz Khan made his IPL debut for RCB in 2015. He also played the 2016 and 2018 seasons of IPL with RCB. But in 2019, Punjab Kings added him to their fold. Sarfaraz remained with Punjab Kings from 2019 to 2021. He was bought by Delhi Capitals in the 2022 auction and remained together for 2 seasons.
