Yogi Government Agriculture Schemes: UP Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi said that there is no shortage of fertilizer-euria in the state. The Yogi government is providing fertilizer to the farmers on time and strict action is being taken on black marketing and hoarding.

State Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi held a press conference and launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. He said that during the tenure of the SP government, farmers were neither able to sow in time nor were they guaranteed the minimum support price (MSP).

The minister made it clear that there is no shortage of fertilizer and urea in the state. He said that the problem is only due to hoarding and black marketing. So far, 1196 retail vendors’ licenses canceled, 132 wholesale vendors, suspension on 13 and license of 4 have been canceled. Not only this, 93 cases have been filed against the black marketing of fertilizer-yuria.

Surya Pratap Shahi said that there have been cases of smuggling of fertilizer in border districts like Maharajganj and Siddharthnagar. Many people picked up urea sack even without farming. The minister warned that such smugglers and mafia would not be spared.

At present, 15.91 lakh metric tons of various types of fertilizers are available in the state. Due to better seeds, fertilizers and irrigation facilities, food production of the state has reached 737 lakh metric tonnes, which is about 200 million metric tonnes more than the previous years. The minister claimed that there has been a tremendous increase in the GSVA associated with the agricultural sector, which was two lakh crores during the SP government and has now increased to seven lakh crore rupees.

In the end, the Agriculture Minister reiterated that the Yogi government will give the farmers a safe and associate atmosphere in any case. He said that strict action will be continued against those who hoarding hoarding and black marketing, but the supply of fertilizer and seeds will be ensured to the real farmers on time.
