Kidnapping of TV actress? Serious allegations made against husband. Chaitra R Kidnap Child Custody Dispute Bangalore Metro Complaint

Bengaluru: Kannada actress Chaitra R has accused her husband Harshvardhan of kidnapping her. Allegedly, there was a dispute going on between the husband and wife regarding the custody rights of the child.

Kannada television actress Chaitra R was allegedly kidnapped in Bengaluru over a child custody dispute. The complaint alleges that Harshvardhan had given an advance of Rs 20,000 to an associate named Kaushik, who allegedly with the help of another person brought Chaitra to the Mysore Road metro station around 8 am. He was then allegedly forced into a vehicle and taken via NICE Road and Bidadi.

According to reports, Kannada television actress Chaitra R was kidnapped by her husband in Bengaluru. It is alleged that he did this in an attempt to get the custody of his younger child. The incident came to light when his relatives alerted the authorities, following which the police began investigation. Chitra and her husband have been living separately for a few months.

In her complaint to the police, Chaitra’s sister Leela R said that both of them were married in 2023, but they were living separately for the last seven-eight months following disputes at home. Chaitra had started living in a mansion house on Magadi Road with her young child, while Harshvardhan was living in Hassan. During this time, Chaitra continued working in television serials.

On 7 December, Chaitra told her relatives that she was going to Mysuru for a shoot. According to officials, all this was planned. The complaint alleges that Harshvardhan had given an advance of Rs 20,000 to an associate named Kaushik, who allegedly along with another person brought Chaitra to Mysuru Road Metro station at around 8 am. He was then allegedly forced into a vehicle and taken via NICE Road and Bidadi.

Around 10:30 am, Chaitra managed to contact her friend Girish, who immediately informed her relatives. Later the same day, Harsh Vardhan reportedly called Chaitra’s mother Siddhamma, admitted to the kidnapping and insisted that the child be taken to a designated place for Chaitra’s freedom. He then contacted another family member and requested them to bring the child to Arsikere and assured him of his safe release.

Relatives living in different places including Tiptur and Bengaluru gathered together and contacted law enforcement officials. After the complaint, the officials have registered the case and are investigating.
