Yogi government has launched a special marketing assistance scheme for service exporters under the Uttar Pradesh Export Promotion Policy 2025–30. This will give new impetus to participation in international fairs, investment, employment and service exports.
Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken an important step to take services sector exports to new heights. For the first time, a dedicated marketing development assistance scheme for service exporters is being implemented under the new Uttar Pradesh Export Promotion Policy 2025-30. With this, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country to launch a separate and special marketing assistance policy for service exports.
Presence of service exporters will be strengthened in the international market
The objective of this new scheme is to make the service exporters of the state competitive in the international market, strengthen their marketing capacity and improve the quality of services in line with global demand. This initiative will not only strengthen the export-based economy but also create new employment and investment opportunities.
Which service exporters will get the benefit of the scheme
The benefit of Marketing Development Assistance Scheme will be available only to those service exporters who-
- Be registered with Export Promotion Bureau, Uttar Pradesh (UPEPB)
- Must be registered with Uttar Pradesh Export Promotion Council
- Must be exporting services under 12 champion service sectors identified by the Government of India
- Are promoting the services produced in Uttar Pradesh at the international level
Financial assistance on participation in international fairs and exhibitions
Under the new policy, service exporters will get financial assistance for participation in international trade fairs, exhibitions and buyer-seller meets organized abroad.
- 75 percent of the cost on stall rent (maximum Rs 2 lakh)
- 75 percent of the cost of economy class air travel for one person (maximum Rs 1 lakh)
Support for international events organized in the country
On participation in international level trade fairs organized in the country, maximum assistance of Rs 50 thousand will be provided for stall rental and maximum assistance of Rs 25 thousand for travel expenses.
Organizer organizations will also get huge financial support
Organizations organizing international trade fairs, exhibitions and buyer-seller meets abroad will get assistance up to 75 percent of the total expenditure, up to a maximum of Rs 1 crore. At the same time, maximum financial assistance up to Rs 75 lakh will be allowed for such international events in India. Participation of at least 20 service exporting units will be mandatory in this category.
Strong role of service sector in the economy of Uttar Pradesh
There has been a significant increase in exports from the service sector of Uttar Pradesh in the last few years. At present the service sector is contributing about 45 percent to the GSDP of the state. This contribution shows its important role in the goal of making the state a 1 trillion dollar economy. There is vast potential for service exports in sectors such as IT-ITeS, FinTech, tourism, health and wellness, logistics, transportation, supply chain services and media-audio visual.
Completely online and transparent application process
The application process under this scheme will be completely online. Service exporters must apply within 120 days from the date of completion of the fair or event. Eligible claims will be settled on first-come-first-served basis and the sanctioned amount will be sent directly to the beneficiary’s account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
