There was a fierce competition between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders to buy this player but in the end KKR won. Kolkata Knight Riders bought this Australian player for Rs 25.20 crore. By getting such a huge amount, Cameron Green has broken a big record of IPL. He has become the most expensive player in IPL history. Earlier this record was in the name of Mitchell Starc, who was bought by KKR for Rs 24.75 crore. However, despite earning such a huge amount, Cameron Green has also suffered a loss of Rs 7 crore 20 lakh.

KKR bought Cameron Green for Rs 25.2 crores but this player has suffered a loss of Rs 7 crore 20 lakhs. Green will have to suffer this loss due to a rule of BCCI. Actually, BCCI has made a rule for the auction that no foreign player will get more than Rs 18 crore. Whatever money they get above that will go to BCCI and that amount will be spent on the welfare of the players.
