A heart-wrenching case of honor killing has come to light in Agra. Retired Inspector Ranveer Singh Yadav, along with his wife, strangled their daughter Anshu Yadav to death. In this incident, which happened due to love affair, the dead body was thrown in the Yamuna river.
The daughter whom the mother made to sleep in her lap, the father taught to walk by holding her finger, the same daughter was tortured to death by her own parents. This case that came to light from Agra not only puts relationships to shame but also shakes humanity. The officers involved in the investigation were also stunned after hearing the story that retired Inspector Ranveer Singh Yadav told to the police about the murder of his own daughter Anshu Yadav.
Love became daughter’s “mistake”, parents became murderers
Police investigation has revealed that Anshu Yadav’s only fault was that she had fallen in love. She loved her own nephew Anurag and both wanted to get married. The family did not approve of this relationship. Anshu had realized that his own family was plotting to take his life. Due to this fear, she had sent a video to her lover before her murder, which has now come to light.

Mother held her feet, father strangled her
According to DCP West Atul Sharma, during interrogation, accused father Ranveer Singh Yadav told that he strangled his daughter by tying a scarf around her neck. During this time, Anshu’s mother held both his legs, so that he could not save himself. The daughter kept struggling for breath, but the parents’ hearts did not fail.
The dispute started with an altercation and turned into murder.
The accused father told the police that on October 24, there was an altercation in the house regarding his daughter’s marriage. The matter escalated so much that a dispute broke out. Anshu said in anger, “Kill me.” At this very moment the parents lost their temper and committed murder. Hearing Anshu’s scream, her younger sister came into the room, but she too was silenced.
“The work is done”, called the son.
After the murder, Ranveer Singh Yadav called his son and told him that he had “done his job”. After this, with the help of the son, the body was taken to the maternal uncle’s house and with the help of maternal uncle and aunt, it was thrown in the Yamuna river.
The lover reached the High Court, then the conspiracy was revealed
After Anshu’s sudden disappearance, her lover had filed a petition in the High Court demanding to find her. After this the police became active. The father initially said that the daughter had left the house, but during the investigation the suspicion deepened. During strict interrogation, the secret was revealed that Anshu had already been murdered. Police also recovered the remains of the body stuck in the bushes near Yamuna river on Sunday.
Till now these accused have been arrested
In his last video, Anshu Yadav had accused his father, mother, siblings as well as aunts and uncles of conspiring to murder. At present, the police have arrested father Ranveer Singh Yadav, brother Gaurav and maternal uncle Satish. The search for Anshu’s mother and aunt continues.
The dream of becoming a teacher remained unfulfilled
Anshu Yadav was preparing to become a teacher. There are three daughters and two sons in the family, but surprisingly no one came forward to save Anshu. The parents who should have cared for him the most became his murderers. This case raises a question before the society, the answer to which is still being sought.
