Who is IAS Divya Tanwar?
IAS Divya Tanwar is a resident of Nimbi, a small village in Mahendragarh district of Haryana. His life was not easy. After the death of his father in 2011, the responsibility of the family completely fell on mother Babita Tanwar. Financial conditions were very weak, but mother never lost courage. Working as a laborer in the fields and paying for her children’s education by sewing, this was her daily struggle. That struggle gave flight to Divya’s dreams.
Initial education from government school, then selection in Navodaya Vidyalaya.
Divya’s early education was from a government school. Later he was selected in Navodaya Vidyalaya, from where he got a better educational environment. After completing her graduation in Science, she decided that she would appear for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. Resources were less, but morale was strong.
Divya Tanwar chose a different path without coaching
While most of the candidates depend on expensive coaching institutes, Divya used online study material and mock tests as her weapon. He prepared his own study plan and prepared with complete discipline. His strategy paid off.
IPS made in first attempt
In the year 2021, at the age of just 21, Divya appeared for the UPSC exam for the first time and became one of the youngest IPS officers in the country by securing AIR 438. He scored 751 marks in the written examination and 179 marks in the interview. This success of Divya, who comes from EWS category, became an example of hard work and self-reliant preparation.
Gave UPSC CSE for the second time to become an IAS.
Even after becoming IPS, Divya’s dream was unfulfilled. He did not give up and started preparing again to improve himself. In the year 2022, he again gave the UPSC exam and this time he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS by securing AIR 105. In this attempt he scored 834 marks in the written examination and 160 marks in the interview, totaling 994 marks.
