Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Jordan on Monday on a two-day visit, where he met King Abdullah. Both countries agreed to increase cooperation in counter-terrorism, trade, fertilizers, digital technology and investment. India-Jordan Business Forum will be held on 16 December.
PM Modi Jordan Visit: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jordan on a two-day visit, where he was given a warm welcome in the capital Amman on Monday 15 December. King Abdullah met him at the Husseiniya Palace in Amman. During this, both the leaders also held bilateral talks. During the meeting, PM Modi thanked King Abdullah for the warm welcome. Also said, the approach of India and Jordan against terrorism is similar and absolutely clear.
Jordan is completely against terrorism, extremism
PM Modi said, under the leadership of King Abdullah, Jordan has given a strong and strategic message to the entire humanity against terrorism, extremism and radicalism. King Abdullah has played a very active and positive role on the Gaza issue from the beginning. PM Modi expressed hope that peace and stability will be maintained in the entire region.
India-Jordan will increase cooperation in fertilizers and digital technology
PM Modi said, 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Jordan are being completed in 2025. This achievement will continue to inspire both the countries to work with new energy in future also. PM Modi further said, India and Jordan will increase cooperation in areas like trade, fertilizers, digital technology, infrastructure and people-to-people contacts.
Ajit Doval also attended the meeting
Expressing happiness over the agreements reached during PM Modi’s visit, King Abdullah said that these will open new avenues of partnership between the two countries. PM Modi’s visit reflects the decades-old friendship, mutual respect and fruitful cooperation between India and Jordan. Let us tell you that during Modi’s visit to Jordan, India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval also participated in the meeting with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. Many issues related to bilateral relations as well as regional and global security were discussed in the meeting.
India-Jordan Business Forum meeting on 16 December
There will be a business forum meeting between India and Jordan on Tuesday, December 16, in which businessmen from both the countries will discuss to explore possibilities of business-to-business partnership and investment. King Abdullah said, this forum is being held at a time when there is a need to increase trade, encourage investment and establish strong relations between the two countries.

People from Indian community met PM Modi
Earlier, people of the Indian community living in Amman, the capital of Jordan, met PM Modi. Modi said, I was deeply impressed by the warm welcome I received from the Indian community in Amman. Their genuine sentiments, their pride in India’s progress and their strong cultural ties reflect the deep ties between India and its diaspora.
