Young fast bowler Harshit Rana, who was away from T20 World Cup 2026 and then IPL 2026 due to injury, has made an excellent comeback in Team India. During the Ireland tour, this tall pacer had already troubled Ireland by taking 3 wickets in the T20 match. Harshit continued the same trend in the second T20 match and once again took a wicket in his very first over. But after this he made a mistake which increased the heartbeats of Team India.

Harshit again gave first success

The second and last match of the T20 series started on Sunday 28 June in Belfast. team india It was necessary for BCCI to win this match at any cost because it had to face a shocking defeat in the very first match, due to which the chance of winning the series had already slipped away. In the first match, Team India had made many mistakes related to fielding, due to which it had to suffer the consequences. In such a situation, better performance was expected in the second match but once again the fielding disappointed.

In this match also, Team India decided to bowl first and Harshit Rana took the wicket in the second over of the innings itself. He sent opener Tim Tector back to the pavilion on the fifth ball of his over. In the last match also, he took one wicket in his first over. But this time after taking the wicket, he disappointed with a mistake in his fielding.

Again a mistake in fielding, the team narrowly escaped.

In fact, in the third over, Arshdeep Singh’s very first ball hit the upper edge of Ross Adair’s bat and the ball rose high in the air behind the wicket. Harshit and wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan ran backwards to catch it. This catch should have been caught by keeper Ishaan, whereas instead of moving out of the way, Harshit tried to take the catch himself. This catch was difficult for him and that is what happened.

Harshit dropped the ball and it went for a four. This was the same mistake, the consequences of which Team India had to suffer in the last match. In the first match, India had dropped 3 catches and all three were heavy on them. In such a situation, the same fear was haunting me this time too that Harshit’s mistake might cause harm. But it was a matter of relief that on the very next ball, Adair again could not play the shot with proper timing and this time Tilak Verma took an easy catch at the covers.
