Delhi-Lucknow Highway Accident: Dense fog early Monday morning led to a major road accident near Saraswati Hospital on the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway in Hapur.
Extremely poor visibility made it difficult for drivers to react in time to sudden changes on the road, jagran.com reported.
According to police, the highway was heavily enveloped in fog, limiting visibility to just a few metres. When one vehicle suddenly applied its brakes for unknown reasons, drivers of the vehicles following behind were unable to control their speed, resulting in a chain collision.
