Fog and cold wave alert in 16 states
The Meteorological Department has warned about dense fog and cold in 16 states. Most severe cold alert in Telangana and Interior Karnataka. Dense fog will prevail in Himachal, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and North East states. The temperature in East Rajasthan may go 4–5 degrees below normal. This situation may persist for the next 24 to 36 hours. In the next 24 hours, the feeling of cold subsides a bit due to sunshine in the day in many parts of the country, but the temperature still remains below normal.
