Filmmaker and host of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 Rohit Shetty is once again in the headlines regarding security. According to reports, an alleged audio clip demanding ransom of Rs 20 crore has been sent to him, with a direct threat of attack if the money is not paid. It is being claimed that this threat has been given by people associated with Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Earlier in February 2026, there was also an incident of firing outside Rohit Shetty’s house in Juhu. Now Mumbai Crime Branch has started investigating the case and has sent the audio clip for forensic examination.
Rohit Shetty allegedly threatened with extortion of Rs 20 crore
According to reports, Rohit Shetty’s staff found an alleged audio clip in which a ransom of Rs 20 crore has been demanded. It is said in the audio that if the money is not given then this time there will be a direct attack. The threat also said, “The earlier firing outside Rohit Shetty’s house was just a trailer. If the money is not paid, the next attack will take place directly.” However, the authenticity of this audio has not been officially confirmed yet and investigation is ongoing.
Police starts investigation into threat to Rohit Shetty
A Mumbai Crime Branch official said, “Rohit Shetty’s staff has informed us that they have received a threatening audio clip.” According to the police, the voice is suspected to be that of Shubam Lonkar. For this reason the audio clip has been sent for forensic investigation. Juhu police has registered the case and started further investigation.
Firing took place outside Rhita Shetty’s house in February
Shortly after midnight on February 1, 2026, five bullets were fired outside the house of comedian Rohit Shetty near Mahmood Chowk in Juhu, Mumbai. At that time, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed responsibility for the incident. Later, the police arrested the alleged shooter Deepak Sharma from Agra, where he was absconding.

Amidst these events, Rohit Shetty is going to return as the host of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 after a gap of two years. This time the theme of the show has been kept as ‘Darr Ka Naya Daur’. The show was shot in Cape Town, South Africa, where the contestants performed several high-risk stunts among skyscrapers, cages, snakes and insects. After the completion of the shooting, Rohit Shetty said, “This experience has been very hectic, tiring and physically challenging. This time the audience will get to see a season like never seen before. There will be many big surprises in it too.”
