Pune (Maharashtra): In the Ketan Aggarwal murder case, Pune Rural Police on Sunday took both the accused to Lohgarh Fort and recreated the crime scene. The officers provided this information. Sia Goyal and Chetan Choudhary were taken to the same spot in Lohgarh Fort from where Ketan allegedly died after being pushed.

Speaking to ANI, SP Sandeep Singh Gill of Pune Rural Police said, “The accused have been taken to the exact spot at Lohgarh Fort, where the incident took place, so that the scene can be recreated. We are reconstructing the entire sequence of events: which way they came, where they stood, what they did and how all this happened. The accused has given information about this.”
Evidence collected from bike to clothes
- Lonavala Rural Police has also seized the two-wheeler of accused Chetan Chaudhary as part of the ongoing investigation into the murder of 26-year-old businessman Ketan Aggarwal. According to the police, Chetan had allegedly used this two-wheeler to travel from Pune to Lohgarh Fort. Apart from the vehicle, the officers have also recovered the hoodie and headphones that the accused was wearing on the day of the incident.
- Lonavala Police has confirmed that the seized two-wheeler and the clothes of the accused have been forensically examined.
- Earlier, main accused Siya Goyal’s parents, Praveen Goyal and Pooja Goyal, were also called to Lonavala police station for questioning.

- Let us tell you that on June 18, Ketan Aggarwal died after falling from Lohgarh Fort near Pune, after which a case was registered. Lonavala Rural Police suspect that the main accused, Siya Goyal, did not want to get married at this stage of her life and was allegedly under pressure from her family to marry the victim.
- Ketan Aggarwal’s fiancee Siya Goyal and her friend Chetan Chaudhary were arrested on June 23. He is currently in seven-day police custody till June 29 and further investigation is underway.
The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of CM Devendra Fadnavis.
- Following this incident, the Maharashtra government has approved the creation of a fast-track court to hear the case and has appointed Rajya Sabha MP and senior lawyer Ujjwal Nikam as special government pleader in the case.
- This decision was taken when the victim’s father met Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Pune and requested for speedy justice in the case. The Chief Minister assured the family that strict action would be taken against the accused and the hearing of the case would be fast-tracked.
