Akhanda 2 Box Office Report: The earnings of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film ‘Akhanda 2: Taandavam’, popularly known as Balayya, decreased significantly instead of increasing on the second day. However, the total collection has reached close to Rs 50 crore in India and Rs 70 crore worldwide.

The first part of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s ‘Akhanda’ had earned more than Rs 125 crore worldwide, which became a strong base for this sequel.
Director Boyapati Srinu’s film ‘Akhanda 2: Taandavam’, which was released after a week’s delay, got a good start at the box office. But on the second day itself there has been a big decline in its earnings. The earning of Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer ‘Akhanda 2’ on the second day is about 31 percent less than that on the first day. However, the film has come close to earning Rs 50 crore in India and this Telugu language fantasy action thriller film may soon cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the worldwide box office.
How much did ‘Akhanda 2’ earn on the second day?
According to the report of trade tracking website sacnilk.com, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s film ‘Akhanda 2: Taandavam’ collected around Rs 15.5 crore on the second day. Earlier, on the day of release i.e. Friday (12 December), the earning of this film was approximately Rs 22.5 crore. At the same time, this NBK film had collected around Rs 8 crore from the paid preview held a day before its release. Overall, the net collection of this film in India has reached approximately Rs 46 crores.

How much did ‘Akhanda 2’ collect worldwide?
‘Akhanda 2: Taandavam’ had earned around Rs 7.50 crore from the overseas market on the first day and its gross collection in India was Rs 36.30 crore. According to this, the worldwide earning of this film on the first day was around Rs 43.80 crore. Overseas figures for the second day have not been revealed yet. But after including the net earnings of the second day in India, this figure has reached Rs 61.5 crore. It is believed that the worldwide collection of the film in two days may cross Rs 70 crore.

Let us tell you that ‘Akhanda 2′ Taandavam’ was earlier scheduled to release on December 5. But due to financial dispute of the makers with Eros International, Madras High Court had banned it. The makers resolved the dispute and released the film on 12 December. Nandamuri Balakrishna is in a double role in the film. Apart from them, actors like Samyuktha Menon, Harshali Malhotra and Aadi Pinisetty are also seen in this film.
