The police took prompt action in the case and arrested the main accused lover within a few hours, while the bride is also being detained and interrogated. This incident took place in Bedipur village of Parshurampur police station area of Basti district.
What is the whole matter?
The incident took place on Thursday evening, when 25-year-old Anish son Shamsuddin was strolling outside his house. Meanwhile, Rinku (22), also from the village, who was his wife Ruksana’s lover, started talking to him on the pretext of asking for directions. After engaging him in conversation, he took Anish to some distance and suddenly took out a country-made pistol, placed it on his forehead and shot him. The bullet was fired from very close range, due to which the external mark was visible only marginally. The family members first referred the injured Anish to Shri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya and later to the Medical College, but the doctors could not save him.
What action did the police take?
The police immediately became active on receiving information that it was a murder case. The villagers present on the spot were interrogated, but no one confirmed hearing the sound of the bullet, because the firing was done from very close range and the bullet got stuck in the head. Police station incharge Jharkhande Pandey said that there was a deep wound on the body, but the bullet was not visible from outside, hence initially the suspicion of attack with a sharp weapon was also raised. Later, when the medical report confirmed that there was a bullet injury, the entire course of the investigation changed.
Action against wife also
Police detained Rinku late at night on the basis of suspicion. When he was strictly interrogated, he confessed to his crime and revealed the entire conspiracy. According to SP Abhinandan, the country-made pistol, cartridges used in the murder and many important evidences related to the conspiracy have been recovered from the accused. Ruksana has also been taken into custody and her interrogation is ongoing. Preparations are being made to take action against him under sections of conspiracy to murder and instigation.
How did you plan the murder?
Investigation revealed that Aneesh was married to Ruksana (20), a resident of Gonda, on November 13. Anish was a hydra crane operator in Mumbai and had returned to the village on November 10 for the wedding. On the other hand, Ruksana was in a love affair with Rinku from the same village for about two years. Even after marriage, the conversation between the two continued. Six days after the marriage, on November 19, Ruksana went to her maternal home for the Chauthi rituals and there both of them together planned the murder. Ruksana had given the information about Aneesh’s location to Rinku.
Aneesh’s family made a big revelation
Anish’s family has also made another shocking claim. According to his father Shamsuddin, on the day of farewell, some people had stopped Anish’s car and threatened him, but no one complained to the police. There is mourning in the family after the murder of the son and in view of the tension in the village, additional police force has been deployed.
