Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, who reached Kukru in Betul, met the women of the self-help group, tasted Mawa-Rabri and gave instructions to the officials for tourism development.
Bhopal/Betul. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Kukru, the famous hill station of Betul district, on a two-day stay on Friday. Here he inspected the livelihood activities conducted by the women of Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group. The Chief Minister interacted cordially with the women of the group, tasted the mawa and rabri prepared by them and appreciated their work.
The Chief Minister took information from the women about the functioning of the group, sources of income and the support they are getting under various government schemes. He praised the efforts being made by the women towards becoming self-reliant and inspired them to continue the same work in future also.
Self Help Group News: Saw the process of making Mawa, boosted the enthusiasm of women
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also inspected the Mawa manufacturing unit run by the group. He closely observed the entire process of preparing Mawa and discussed in detail with the women about production, marketing and income. The Chief Minister said that the self-help groups of the state are playing an important role in strengthening the rural economy as well as in economically empowering women. The state government is continuously supporting women through various schemes to promote self-employment and self-reliance.
MP Government Schemes: Group received financial assistance worth lakhs of rupees
Shobha Gayane, President of Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group, told the Chief Minister that the group has received financial assistance under various government schemes. He said that financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh has been received from CCL scheme, Rs 1 lakh from CIF, Rs 11 thousand from RF and Rs 40 thousand under PMFME scheme. He told that a total of 11 women are working in the group. With the help of Livelihood Mission, an automatic machine for making Mawa has been purchased, due to which the group is earning an income of about Rs 25 thousand every month.
Women Empowerment: Women’s income increasing through animal husbandry and milk production
The women of the group told the Chief Minister that along with animal husbandry, milk production, preparation of Mawa, Rabri and Shrikhand, they are also doing agricultural work. Through all these activities, every woman is getting an income of about Rs 15 to 18 thousand per month. This has strengthened the economic condition of their families and women are becoming self-reliant. Praising the hard work of women, the Chief Minister said that such groups are creating new employment opportunities in rural areas and making important contributions to the development of the state.
Kukru Tourism: Chief Minister reached Sipna Sunset Point, impressed by the natural beauty
During his stay, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also visited Sipna Sunset Point located in Kukru. Here he enjoyed the beautiful view of the sunset and saw the natural beauty of the area closely. The greenery, mountain ranges and peaceful environment of Kukru impressed the Chief Minister a lot. He said that Kukru has full potential to become a major tourist center of Madhya Pradesh and there is immense potential for tourism development here.
Tourism Development MP: Instructions given to increase tourism and conservation of natural heritage
The Chief Minister directed the concerned officials to expand tourism facilities in the Kukru area and ensure conservation and promotion of the natural heritage here. He said that this area rich in natural wealth will attract a large number of tourists in future. The Chief Minister said that the development of tourism will create new employment and livelihood opportunities for the local people, which will further strengthen the economic condition of the area.
