New Delhi: Football legend Lionel Messi unveiled his unique 70-foot statue virtually alongside his teammates, Luis Suarez and Rodrygo de Paul. West Bengal minister Sujit Bose and Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan were also present at the inauguration.
Messi inaugurated his towering 70-foot iron statue virtually, depicting him holding the World Cup trophy at the Sree Bhumi Sporting Club in Lake Town on Saturday.

This was his first India tour since 2011, when he came to play a friendly game against Venezuela at the Salt Lake Stadium. Messi’s immense popularity in India added another level of joy.
Messi meets Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan added Bollywood glamour to the football fever as he arrived at Kolkata airport late at night with his younger son, AbRam.
Messi shook hands with Shah Rukh and also shared a moment with his son. The father-son duo clicked a photo with the football icon and made the moment as one of the iconic crossovers between sports events and Bollywood.
