Durg (Chhattisgarh): Bollywood star has expressed his anger by giving a sharp reaction on the alleged donation scam (donation theft) in Ayodhya Ram temple. From actors Sonu Sood to Mukesh Khanna have expressed deep concern. He described the matter as ‘very unfortunate’ and demanded strict action against the culprits.
Sonu Sood expressed his anger
- Speaking to the media, Sonu Sood said, “I think it is very unfortunate. People connect with God with great devotion. People donate their hard-earned money. If something like this happens, it is really very sad.”
- Sonu Sood further said, “Whoever is responsible for this should be punished. I feel that the property of those who have done this should be taken and donated.”
Mukesh Khanna also sad over donation theft
Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna also reacted on the theft of donations to Ram Temple and expressed his anger by saying that those who are misappropriating donations are directly committing the sin of robbing God.

Apart from this, actor-anchor and comedian Shekhar Suman has also expressed anger on this matter. While raising the issue of theft in his show, he has also raised many questions on the administration and trust system.
Action taken against temple trustee Champat Rai
On Friday, Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust general secretary Champat Rai and member trustee Anil Mishra had resigned, taking moral responsibility for the alleged scam in Ram temple donations. All this happened when an FIR was registered in the case of alleged embezzlement of donations received for the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Who are these 8 accused of theft of Ram Mandir donations?
- Those named in the bFIR include Anukalp Mishra, Lavkush Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Tinnu Yadav, Manish Yadav and others. This action took place after the allegations of former SP MLA from Ayodhya Pawan Pandey, in which he had claimed that donations for Ram temple ranging from Rs 7.5 crore to Rs 27 crore had been embezzled.
- bIn response to these claims, the state government had on June 14 constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) on the request of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to probe the alleged scam.
