Salman Khan and his family, who have been living in Galaxy Apartment for 51 years, may soon shift to a new sea-facing bungalow. The reason behind this has also been revealed in the reports.
Galaxy Apartment located in Bandra, Mumbai is considered to be the identity of Salman Khan. This house has been the permanent address of the Khan family for the last five decades. But now reports are claiming that Salman Khan and his family may soon say goodbye to this prestigious address. It is being told that the family is building a new six-storey sea-facing bungalow in Chimbai area of Bandra. This project has recently received approval from Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA). However, till now this news has not been officially confirmed by Salman Khan or his family.
Salman Khan’s address may change after 51 years!
According to reports, since 1974, the first floor of Galaxy Apartment has been the home of the family of Salman Khan’s father and famous writer Salim Khan. Most of the family members now live in separate houses, but Salman Khan still lives here with his parents. Now the news is that the entire family may soon shift to a new bungalow. It is being told that Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has approved the construction of a new residential building in Chimbai area of Bandra on June 16. This land is located a short distance away from Galaxy Apartments and was purchased by Salman Khan’s mother Salma Khan (Susila Charak) in 2011.

Did Salman Khan take this decision due to security reasons?
Reports claim that the family decided to build a more secure house after receiving continuous threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After the firing incident outside Galaxy Apartment in the year 2024, Salman Khan’s famous balcony was also closed due to security reasons. The new bungalow is said to have modern security arrangements.
How will Salman Khan’s new house be?
According to the information, earlier there was an old two-storey bungalow on this land, which was demolished due to its dilapidated condition. Now a ground plus stilt plus six-storey residential building will be built here. This construction will be done under Development Control and Promotional Regulation 2034. According to reports, this project will be produced by Sach Developers. BMC has also issued initial approval (IOD) in October 2025 for this project to be built in approximately 1014.11 square meter area.

Khan family’s promise – trees will not be harmed
The family has reportedly assured that no trees will be harmed during the construction. Apart from this, new trees of local species will also be planted in the project site and recreation area. At present, no official statement has been issued by Salman Khan and his family on the news of leaving the new bungalow or Galaxy Apartment. Therefore, these reports are yet to be independently confirmed. Talking about work front, Salman Khan has completed the shooting of his film ‘Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest in Peace’. The release date of the film has not been announced yet. Apart from this, these days he is busy shooting the film SVC 63 with Nayanthara.
