Bhopal/Ujjain. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the workshop ‘Experience of Simhastha 2016, Resolution of Simhastha 2028’ organized in Ujjain on Friday, June 27. He inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. In this workshop, those officers, experts and representatives of various fields were present, who have experience in organizing previous Simhastha and Kumbh Melas. During the program, many officials shared their experiences, after which Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also narrated his memories related to Simhastha.

The Chief Minister said that the Simhastha of the year 2028 will be made grand and well organized in every respect. All necessary facilities will be provided to the devotees so that they do not have to face any kind of inconvenience. He also said that better coordination will be established with the surrounding states to make the event a success.

Government’s big preparations for Simhastha 2028, devotees will get better facilities

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the priority of the government is to ensure that crores of devotees coming to Simhastha get modern and better arrangements. He said that the administration is working seriously on all the necessary preparations and continuous efforts are being made to give the event a world class format. He said that by establishing coordination with the neighboring states, traffic, security and other arrangements will be strengthened, so that the devotees do not face any kind of problem and the event remains completely organized.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that it is a matter of good fortune for any person to be associated with Ujjain and the city of Baba Mahakal. He said that not only humans but also the gods wish to get the opportunity to reside in Ujjain.

He said that the environment of the country is changing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier people used to wait only for big events and festivals, but today there is a festive atmosphere throughout the year. Religious tourism is increasing rapidly and spiritual cities like Ujjain are attracting people from within the country and abroad.

The Chief Minister said that the government wants to do such development work whose benefits will reach the coming generations. He said that with the grace of Baba Mahakal, even an ordinary person can reach a high position in life. Connecting with the city of Mahakal is a special coincidence in itself and preparations for Simhastha 2028 are being made in this spirit.

While sharing the old experiences of Simhastha, he narrated an interesting story.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, while sharing his old experiences, said that in the year 1980, he had served in Simhastha as a member of Scout-Guide. After this, he was also a part of the Simhastha Committee in the year 1992 Simhastha.

He mentioned an interesting incident where once while entering the office a senior employee stopped him. When he told his name as Mohan Yadav, the employee said that he knew the real Mohan Yadav and his children would be of your age. After a long explanation the situation became clear and he was allowed to go inside.

The Chief Minister said that the purpose of this incident is to tell that earlier people from different sections of the society were included in the Simhastha Committee. This time too, the government wants to form such committees, in which not only representatives of Ujjain but also experienced people from other areas should be included, so that the event can benefit from everyone’s experiences.

Special emphasis on roads, ghats, railways and accommodation arrangements for Simhastha 2028

The Chief Minister said that there has been a lot of change in Ujjain with time. Earlier there were very few hotels in the city and arranging accommodation for the devotees was a big challenge, but now the circumstances are changing. The government is expanding accommodation facilities so that the large number of devotees coming can get better arrangements. He said that the major roads of the city have been widened so that the traffic remains smooth. The bathing system has also been made much better than before. Various places of worship have been expanded to facilitate the devotees for darshan.

The Chief Minister said that earlier the stream of Kshipra river used to change its course many times due to mud, which affected the arrangements. Now after construction of permanent ghat, this problem has ended to a great extent. The system of allocation of Dharamshalas is also being made more transparent so that the needy devotees can easily get the facilities. He also said that the benefits of development in the railway sector will also be available in Simhastha this time. Due to better rail connectivity, movement of devotees will be easier than before.

Successful event will be organized in coordination with neighboring states

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Simhastha is not just an event of Ujjain or Madhya Pradesh but is a great festival of faith of the entire country.
