New Delhi: Meta India has just announced that Aman Jain will be its new Head of Public Policy, and the position will start early next year. Jain will report to Simon Milner, the Vice President of Policy of Asia-Pacific at Meta, and be a part of the India leadership team of the company. This new entry comes when Meta is enhancing its policy framework on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Jain has more than twenty years of experience in government affairs, technology and public policy, which adds a lot of knowledge to the position. Previously, he was employed at Amazon, where he worked as a Director of Public Policy, managing various important aspects, including marketplace, operations, competition, and technology. He has served in senior policy roles in Google as well as with government institutions in India and the United States.

Some of the highlights of his career are serving as Country Head of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Google, as a Consultant at the US Department of Justice, and as an Advisor to the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports in India. His career history in various tech companies and government positions around the world is likely to empower the participation of Meta in the regulation and interests of the industry.
Bringing Jain on board, Simon Milner observed that his leadership would assist Meta to cope with the fast-changing Indian digital scene. According to Milner, the background of Jain will enable Meta to establish an increasingly enabling and trusted policy environment in the country.

According to Meta, Jain will be vital in determining the policy outlook of the company in artificial intelligence, new technologies, and the larger creator economy in India. His contribution will be used to develop a more inclusive and future-ready digital ecosystem.
