“Papa and aunt killed mummy” – Police shaken by innocent’s statement, funeral halted. Up Monika Suicide Case Or Murder Jhansi Shivam Dubey

There was a stir in Jhansi after the death of 25-year-old Monica alias Roli Dubey of Pratapgarh under suspicious circumstances. The husband and in-laws were accused of assault. After the statement of the four-year-old son and the FIR of the family, the police have started the investigation by conducting post-mortem of the body.

Age only 25 years. Expectations of a whole life ahead. Five years of marriage, an innocent four-year-old child and a house full of dreams. But the ongoing dispute and harassment within the walls of this house took away the life of Pratapgarh’s daughter Monica alias Roli Dubey. Monica died after consuming poison on Wednesday afternoon, after which her mother and the police are searching for answers amid questions and allegations.

Monica committed suicide after being fed up with the dispute in her in-laws.

Monica, a resident of Pratapgarh, was married to Shivam Dubey, a resident of Jhansi, on 26 February 2020. As the family grew, four-year-old son Om also came among them. But according to her maternal side, Monica’s life was being spent under the shadow of harassment from her husband Shivam and in-laws.

The family alleges that despite working in Bengaluru, Shivam Dubey neither paid the child’s fees nor the household expenses. There were frequent fights between husband and wife regarding money, due to which Monica remained mentally disturbed.

Night of controversy: Tension twice in two days

Komal Pandey, sister-in-law of the deceased, told that Shivam had returned home on Tuesday after two months. There was a dispute over money the same night, however, the matter was resolved after an explanation.

But on Wednesday morning once again the atmosphere deteriorated. Monica showed the domestic dispute to her sister-in-law through a surreptitious video call. It is alleged that the sister-in-law first pushed Monica, after which the husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law together beat her.

Death after assault: dispute at 10 o’clock, poison at 12 o’clock and hospital at 4 o’clock

According to Komal, there was a fight around 10 in the morning and at 12 in the afternoon, under stress, Monica consumed some poisonous substance. The allegation is also that even after consuming poison, her in-laws did not immediately take her to the hospital. When Monica’s condition became critical at 4 pm, Monica was taken to the hospital, where she died.

Dead body stopped before cremation, child told the truth

When the parents reached Jhansi on Thursday morning, they saw that Monica’s body was kept outside the house and preparations for the last rites were going on. Sister-in-law was missing from there. The family immediately informed the police.

Four-year-old son Om told the police, “Papa and aunt together beat mom badly. I even took a photo during the fight.” After his statement, the police stopped the last rites and took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem.

Legal action started, police post mortem report awaited

On the complaint of the maternal side, the police has started action against husband Shivam Dubey, mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Further action will be taken on the basis of post mortem report, statement of the child and other evidence.
