In this match, a strong game was seen from New Zealand and they defeated the visiting team in just 3 days. The Kiwi team won this match by a huge margin of 9 wickets, the biggest reason for which was their strong bowling. He did not allow West Indies to reach a big score in both the innings and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

New Zealand’s batting was a flop

In this match, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first, which proved to be correct. West Indies team could score only 205 runs in its first innings. During this, Shay Hope scored the maximum 47 runs. Whereas, John Campbell contributed 44 runs. Brandon King also scored 33 runs and Roston Chase scored 29 runs. But none of the other batsmen could touch the 20-run mark. On the other hand, Blair Tickner took maximum 4 wickets for New Zealand. Michael Rai also had 3 successes in his name.
