Special workshop of 70 MPs and MLAs, government’s big focus on new labor code and e-shram. Workshop Trains Indian Lawmakers On Digital Skills For Viksit Bharat Goal

NFPRC conducted a workshop for MPs-MLAs on the goal of ‘Developed India’. Labor reforms, social security and skill development were discussed in it. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized on the benefits of the new labor code and e-shram.

New Delhi: How can the dream of ‘developed India’ come true? To find the answer to this question, the MPs and MLAs of the country came together on one platform. The occasion was a special workshop organized by the Nation First Policy Research and Change Foundation (NFPRC) at the India Habitat Center on Thursday. In this workshop, issues like making policies based on evidence, bringing workers into the formal system, social security, skill development and maintaining better communication with the public were discussed.

NFPRC chief Tarun Chugh, Harvinder Kalyan and Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized that it is necessary to increase the scope of social security through new labor code, digital platforms like e-Shram and Skill India. He said that in today’s era, it is very important for public representatives to strengthen digital communication and administrative capacity. 70 MPs and MLAs participated in this workshop.

Mansukh Mandaviya’s session on new labor laws

Union Labor and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya took a special session on “Social Security for All and Formalization of Workers: New Labor Framework”. He explained in detail how initiatives like the new Labor Code, e-Shram Portal, National Career Service (NCS) and Digital Labor Chowk are improving the lives of unorganized and gig workers in the country.

Digital media and skill development training

Rajya Sabha MP Vinod Tawde trained the MLAs on how to express their views effectively, handle social media and deal with fake news. Meanwhile, NSDC CEO Mr. Arunkumar Pillai explained how a skilled workforce is being prepared for the future through the ‘Skill India Digital’ ecosystem. In the end, Dr. Abhinav Prakash, Board Member, NFPRC thanked everyone. The program concluded with a shared vision of digital transformation and citizen-centric governance.

At the beginning of the workshop, Tarun Chugh, Chairman, NFPRC Foundation, in his welcome address said that to achieve the goal of ‘Developed India @ 2047’, there will be emphasis on bringing workers into the formal system, preparing them for employment and digital skill development.
