There are many ancient temples in India. All these temples are famous all over the world due to their secrets and miracles. One such mysterious temple is in Andhra Pradesh. This is the Shiva temple, which is located in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.
The name of this temple is Shri Yaganti Umamaheshwar Temple. The size of the idol of Nandi in this temple is constantly increasing. So far no one has been able to find out the secret behind the growing size of this idol.
Not only people, but scientists also say that the size of Nandi’s statue here increases by one inch every 20 years. If Nandi continues to grow in this way, the pillars in the temple will have to be removed one by one. It is believed that when the Kali Yuga ends, the form of this huge Nandi statue will become alive on that day. The Mahapralaya will come that day. After that Kali Yuga will end.
This temple is built according to Vaishnava traditions. It was built in the 15th century by Harihar Bukka Rai, the king of the Sangam dynasty of the Vijayanagara Empire. It reflects the traditions of the ancient Pallava, Chola, Chalukya and Vijayanagar rulers. A mythological story about the construction of this temple is famous. It is said that this Shiva temple was founded by Maharishi Agastya.
Then Shiva appeared and said that this place resembles Kailash. Therefore, it is right to build their temple here. Maharishi Agastya then requested Shiva to see the devotees as Uma Maheshwar in the same stone. Shiva agreed to this. Here devotees worship him as Ardhanarishwar.
Crows never appear anywhere around this temple. It is said that this happened due to the curse of Maharishi Agastya. According to the Puranas, when Maharishi Agastya was meditating, the crows were harassing him. So angry, he cursed the crows that crows should not be seen here.
