Astrologically based logo
This logo has been prepared by Ajay Saxena and Pragalbh Ajay, design consultants appointed by the fair authority. The logo also shows the position of the Sun and Moon, which makes the month of Magh special. Astrologer Acharya Hari Krishna Shukla explains-
- The 14 phases of Sun and Moon are considered to be related to lunar energy, mental strength and spiritual practice.
- The Moon revolves around 27 constellations in approximately 27.3 days.
- Magh Mela is based on these sidereal movements and astronomical calculations.
- When the Sun is in Capricorn and the Moon comes near Maghi, Ashlesha or Purva Phalguni Nakshatras on Purnima, then the month of Magh is formed – and Magh Mela is organized during this period.
Magh month: time of meditation, energy and well-being
According to astrology, the waxing phases (Shukla Paksha) of the Moon from Amavasya to Purnima are considered best for spiritual progress. The dates of Magh Snan are decided on the balance of these arts. This month is considered extremely sacred for charity, penance, Kalpavas, bathing and worship. Spiritual work done in the month of Magh provides energy, health and mental peace to the person.
