Uttar Pradesh Digital Growth: Due to the policies of Yogi government, startup, IT and data center sectors are growing rapidly in UP. Investments from big global brands and record startup funding have made the state an emerging digital hub of the country.

Lucknow: The effect of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visionary thinking and strong planning is now clearly visible. Startup, IT and data center sectors are growing very fast in UP. In the last few years, the state has made great progress in the field of digital innovation. For this reason, Uttar Pradesh is now becoming a big digital hub of the country. Big IT companies like Infosys, Adobe, IBM and Tele Performance have invested in UP. This has greatly strengthened the economy of the state and has also created jobs for lakhs of people.

Record help to startups, support up to Rs 2,600 lakh

CM Yogi’s aim is to make UP a big center of startups, IT and data processing. The effect of his thinking is also visible. The financial assistance given by the government to startups is increasing every year. While only Rs 274 lakh assistance was given in 2021-22, it increased to Rs 866 lakh in 2022-23. After this, in 2023-24 this amount reached Rs 1,326 lakh. Now in 2025, the government has provided Rs 2,600 lakh as startup incentive. This increased support shows that the state government is strongly supporting startups and wants to rapidly grow the entire startup ecosystem.

Global companies invested Rs 868 crore

The IT and ITES policy of Yogi government has also brought a big change in the state. As early as 2025, an investment of Rs 28.34 crore has come through two projects, creating 1,600 new job opportunities. After this, after September 2025, the state received three big investment proposals, the total amount of which is Rs 868 crore. Around 7,800 jobs are expected to be created through these proposals. By investing, giants like Infosys, Adobe, IBM and Tele Performance are making UP the new center of the country in the IT and tech sector.

Data Center Policy 2021: UP remains the digital backbone of the country

The Data Center Policy 2021, made under the thinking of CM Yogi Adityanath, has changed the picture of UP. Many big investment proposals have come due to this policy. These include NIDP worth Rs 9,134 crore, NTT Global Data Center worth Rs 1,687 crore, Adani Enterprises worth Rs 2,416 crore and Rs 2,713 crore in two separate projects, and ST Tele Media Global Data Center worth Rs 2,130 crore. Work on all these projects is going on at a fast pace, due to which UP is becoming one of the biggest data hubs of the country.

UP came out of the image of a ‘sick state’ and became ‘Brand UP’.

The rapidly increasing investments in futuristic sectors like startups, IT and data centers prove that Uttar Pradesh has now come out of its old ‘sick’ image. Today UP stands among the top industrial and digital states of the country and is continuously scaling new heights. The policies and vision of Yogi government have made UP not only a favorite state for investment but also a UP brand.
