Priyanka Chopra said, ‘When I first started working, I was not selective at all. Whatever work I got, I would do it because getting work is a privilege. I used to say yes to everything. I was really greedy in my 20s. I wanted to work every day. Priyanka, who has now become a well-known name in both Bollywood and Hollywood, further said, ‘I feel that I am at the other end of my sacrifice. I worked really hard. I missed birthdays. I missed my father when he was in the hospital. I missed Christmas, I missed Diwali. I missed time spent with my family. At that time, I had to work so hard and that 20-year-old girl made these sacrifices to give this woman the life that I have now.

Talking about how Priyanka’s perspective has changed over the years, she said, ‘I think it’s a luxury, sometimes you have to work hard to get it. There is no other way other than this. Work ethic, discipline and going after it is what gets you to that point. Now I can choose when to say yes, but if I hadn’t worked so hard then, I wouldn’t be able to do it today. That’s why sometimes I thank my young age a lot.
