Mother killed Son: It is said that a mother is the right teacher of her children. She both loves and kills them to show them the right path. Sometimes she also punishes. But can a mother’s heart be so hard that she would let her die in the name of punishment? A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Illinois, USA, where a mother forced her 6-year-old son to be held under a cold water shower in the name of “punishment”, due to which he died. This cruel incident has shaken the entire country.
What happened to 6 year old Damari Perry?
This case is of 2021, when a 6-year-old child named Damari Parry died. The mother will be sentenced in this case on January 30, 2026. On the day of the incident, the child did something which mother Janine Perry considered worthy of punishment. He, along with his elder son Jeremiah Perry, made her stand under a cold water shower for a long time. After which the child vomited and his breathing stopped.
Mother hid the dead body along with her elder son.
The surprise came when the child became unconscious and the mother did not call the medical help team. Not only this, he along with his elder son tried to hide the dead body. They took Damari’s body to Indiana and dumped it in a deserted place.

attempt to impress the police
The family fabricated false stories to show that Damari was missing. His elder sister told the police that she and Damari had gone to a party and Damari disappeared from there, but this story was later proven to be completely false. Damari’s body was later found wrapped in a black plastic bag near an abandoned house in Gary, Indiana. There were many bruises and injury marks on the body. The post mortem revealed that he died of hypothermia (extreme cold).
The grand jury described the death as “extremely cruel and inhumane.” Now the prosecution is demanding a 45-year sentence for him. The punishment will be announced on January 30, 2026.
