AKASH JAGGA ON HIS 5-YEAR JOURNEY IN SHOWBIZ

Looking back at his journey in an exclusive chat with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Aakash Kumar, TV star Akash Jagga described it as emotional and unforgettable. He said, “From Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 to Beendani, it has been a crazy journey. I realise such a small industry it is. This industry has given me a lot. Not only work-wise but in relations as well. I’ve made so many good friends – best friends, sister, family. I’ve met some beautiful people and have amazing memories with them.”

Talking about his current show, he added that he never chased the idea of becoming a lead but was drawn to the depth of the character. “I really liked the story here, and I really liked the character of Kundan. When it was narrated to me, I felt it was a very deep character, and I would have a lot of fun. Raghuvir ji, the producer and writer, told me that there’s so much depth that I’ll love playing it,” he shared.

AKASH JAGGA ON PRESSURE OF BEING THE FACE OF BEENDANI

Opening up about the pressure of being the main hero, Akash did not shy away from being honest. “Sometimes when the TRP charts come or when our producer says that it is on your shoulders, I do feel a little heavy,” he admitted. However, he added that this pressure often works in his favour. “That pressure gives me a kick sometimes, because you put so much effort. Sometimes the scenes go beyond my own expectations,” he said.

Comparing his earlier roles with his current one, Akash explained that the biggest difference is responsibility. “Whenever you do a lead, there is this pressure that you have to make the show work, you have to carry it,” he said. At the same time, the creative satisfaction is much bigger now. “Scenes are more, and that helps me know the character better. Now I know Kundan deep within – what he will say or do. I improvise a lot, and I even tell the creatives when something doesn’t feel like Kundan,” he added.

For Akash Jagga, this journey from parallel leads to becoming the face of a show has been challenging, emotional, and deeply rewarding. As he completes five years in showbiz, he continues to focus on improving his craft and giving the audience honest performances.
