Benjamin Sesko Eager To Return And Prove His Worth At Manchester United Under Ruben Amorim

Benjamin Sesko is expected to make a swift return for Manchester United, eager to showcase his skills under the guidance of Ruben Amorim.

His agent, Elvis Basanovic, expressed confidence in both Sesko’s recovery and Amorim’s leadership. Sesko has been sidelined for four Premier League matches since an injury against Tottenham in early November. Despite scoring only twice in 11 league appearances since joining from RB Leipzig, he is keen to get back on the field.

Basanovic shared updates on Sesko’s rehabilitation with Slovenian broadcaster Arena Sport, stating that the striker is progressing well and misses playing. “Benjamin is feeling very good, his rehab is going as planned,” Basanovic said. He added that Sesko is impatient to return to action and hopes to be back soon where he feels most at ease. The exact timeline for his return remains uncertain, depending on medical assessments and coaching decisions.

Sesko joined Manchester United alongside Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha during the summer transfer window to strengthen Amorim’s attacking options. However, the former Leipzig player has struggled to meet expectations, starting just six league games and converting slightly over 10% of his attempts. Meanwhile, Cunha and Mbeumo shone in United’s recent 4-1 win over Wolves.

Basanovic holds Amorim in high regard, praising his reception of Sesko at the club. “I must say he [Amorim] received Benjamin excellently,” Basanovic remarked. He described Amorim as a charismatic and emotionally intelligent individual who understands what he’s doing despite facing challenges in building a successful project at such a prestigious club.

The agent emphasized that building a cohesive team requires time, especially when players like Cunha, Mbeumo, and Sesko have had limited opportunities to play together. Developing an understanding among players takes time but leads to better results once achieved. Basanovic believes that Amorim’s vision can elevate United if given enough time.

The Challenge of Immediate Expectations

Basanovic acknowledged the pressure faced by managers at top clubs like Manchester United due to high expectations for immediate success. “It’s extremely difficult to explain in a big club because nobody wants to give you time,” he noted. Despite this challenge, he remains optimistic about Amorim’s potential to lead United back to prominence with patience and support.

As Sesko nears his return, fans hope his presence will bolster United’s attack alongside Cunha and Mbeumo. With Amorim’s strategic approach and the players’ growing synergy, there is optimism for improved performances in upcoming matches.
