A retired soldier, who was missing for 15 years, has reunited with his family through a viral video on social media. Baldev Kumar of Himachal was found in Rajasthan, whom the family identified through a video and brought back home.
Bikaner: Due to a video that went viral on social media, a retired soldier who was missing for the last 15 years has been reunited with his family. Retired soldier Baldev Kumar, who had gone in search of work 15 years ago, did not return home and went missing. The family members tried hard to find him. Along with filing a complaint with the police, the family searched everywhere, but to no avail. When Baldev was not found even after extensive searches, his family assumed that he was dead. But after 15 years, he came forward through a viral video and now his family has brought him back home. This unique incident has happened in Gharatoli village of Sujanpur district of Himachal Pradesh.
How did Baldev Kumar of Himachal meet?
Three days ago, a family in Bikaner, Rajasthan had posted a video on social media. He posted a photo of an unknown person and asked for help in identifying that person. This video from Rajasthan reached Sapna Kumari of Sujanpur, Himachal Pradesh. He shared this video locally. When Baldev Kumar’s family saw this, they were shocked.
He was shocked and emotional after seeing his son for the first time in 15 years and he immediately recognized him. He immediately left for Bikaner, Rajasthan to bring his son. After reaching there the family brought Baldev back home. The people of the village welcomed Baldev to the village with musical instruments.
Baldev Kumar’s family has thanked Sapna Kumari of their own village and Gaurav Jain and his family, who provided shelter to Baldev, for reuniting their son with the family. He said that this miracle was possible only because of him. Social media healed our 15 year old wound. We are happy that our lost son has been found back.
Earlier in 2018, a similar incident had happened in Uttar Pradesh also. The married man and father of a child, who had been missing for several years, was found with another woman on social media. As soon as he got involved with another woman on social media, his wife alleged that he had married someone else. His family members also knew this. Yet, they blamed me for her disappearance, the woman had complained.
