This news was given by Dubai-based digital experience company Red Blue Blur Ideas (RBBI), he was the co-founder of this company. The reason for his death has not been shared yet.

According to a Gulf News report, Mistry, popularly known as “Dev”, had laid the foundation of RBBI along with Amol Kadam in 2011. He helped shape digital experience-based businesses in the region by focusing on user-friendly designs.

Famous as ‘Superman’ in the company

Within the company, Mistry was affectionately known as ‘Superman’. The nickname respected both his dedication and the company’s name, which was a creative reference to the much-reported ‘red blue blur’ imagery of Superman flying at super-speed.

In a post on LinkedIn, the company confirmed the news, saying, “Today, we are sharing extremely sad news for all of us at RBBI. Our co-founder, Devesh Mistry, has passed away.”

“Devesh has been an inspirational force at RBBI since its early days. For many of us, he was our own Superman. He played a pivotal role in shaping the company, our culture, our thinking and the way we work with customers and each other,” the company statement said.

Who was Devesh Mistry?

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mistry started his career in coding in the late 1990s and then moved into design, focusing on improving digital user experiences. Over the years, he has worked with many global brands including Microsoft, IBM, Telstra Australia, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Mini Cooper, Mastercard, L’Oréal, Emirates NBD and Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Mistry was also active in the education world. He served as a lecturer, patron and curriculum developer at the University of Dubai and contributed to digital strategic events. Earlier, he was associated with Sydney University of Technology during a short teaching stint in Australia.
