Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai launched the new logo of Housing and Infrastructure Development Board. Gave away prizes to the winners of the housing fair and shared information about many big schemes.
Raipur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai unveiled the new logo of Chhattisgarh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board at the Circuit House in Naya Raipur on Friday. On this occasion, many attractive prizes including car, scooty, fridge, washing machine, LED TV were distributed through lucky draw to the beneficiaries who booked houses in the housing fair of the year 2025. Congratulating Mr. Anshul Kashyap, who designed the new logo, the Chief Minister also handed him a check of Rs 2.5 lakh as the prize money of the competition.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said – A permanent home for every family is the goal of our government.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the dream of every family is to have their own permanent house and the state government is working with full commitment to fulfill this dream. He said that earlier the Housing Board was limited to only housing construction, but now it has been expanded to the field of infrastructure development. This will give new impetus to the development works of the state and infrastructure facilities will be developed on a large scale.
Sale of 7,388 properties in two years, revenue of Rs 1,532 crore
The Chief Minister said that in the last two years, the Board has achieved remarkable achievements by overcoming economic challenges. During this period, revenue of approximately Rs 1,532 crore has been earned by selling 7,388 properties. He congratulated the Housing and Environment Department, the Chairman of the Board and the entire team for this achievement.
Houses being built rapidly under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
The Chief Minister said that the government has swiftly fulfilled all its major promises. After the formation of the government, 18 lakh Prime Minister houses were approved in the first cabinet meeting itself. He said that till now houses of more than 10.5 lakh poor families have been completed in the state. Currently about 1,600 new homes are being built every day. The Chief Minister also informed that 15 thousand additional Prime Minister Houses have been sanctioned from the Central Government for the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites. A separate housing scheme is also being run for special backward tribes.
Government’s special focus on good governance and digital services
The Chief Minister said that good governance is the top priority of the state government. Through ‘Seva Setu’, now more than 450 government services are being provided at home through mobile app. Apart from this, Chief Minister Helpline 1076 has also been started, where citizens can register their complaints and get time bound solutions.
Thousands of families will benefit from PM Surya Ghar Yojana
The Chief Minister said that under the Prime Minister Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, rooftop solar systems have been installed in about 65 thousand houses in the state. He said that the government is giving attractive subsidies for setting up solar plants. In the coming time, along with getting free electricity, such families will also get the opportunity to earn income by selling excess electricity. Referring to the Chief Minister Electricity Bill Payment Solution Scheme, he said that under this scheme, special discounts are being given to consumers in pending electricity bills and surcharges.
Arrangements improved by taking public feedback from Good Governance Tihar
The Chief Minister said that the government is not limited to just implementing schemes, but through Good Governance Tihar, feedback was also taken among the public for two consecutive months. Improvements have been made in the systems based on people’s suggestions. Referring to various innovation-based initiatives of the government, he reiterated his resolve for transparent and accountable governance.
O.P. Choudhary said – Board’s role will increase in infrastructure development
Housing and Environment Minister Shri O.P. Chaudhary said that many administrative reforms have been implemented in the department under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. He said that by redesigning the Housing Board as Infrastructure Development Board, its role in capital expenditure and development projects of the state has been further strengthened.
The minister said that now any new residential project will start only when adequate booking is ensured. This will avoid unnecessary construction and financial risk. Referring to the One Time Settlement Scheme, he said that this has accelerated the sale of properties pending for years and the financial condition of the division has become stronger than before.
Anurag Singhdev said – focus will be on demand based projects
Board President Shri Anurag Singhdev said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, the Board has adopted a new work culture. He said that now in future, demand based, quality and financially viable projects will be given priority. He said that the Board has achieved new achievements by selling record properties in the last two years and work will continue in the same direction in future also.
Sarangarh’s Pooja Bareth gets car in lucky draw
During the programme, prizes were distributed to nine winners of the lucky draw. Mrs. Pooja Bareth of Sarangarh was given a car as the first prize. Apart from this, many other attractive prizes including Scooty, Fridge, Washing Machine, LED TV were also distributed. On this occasion, Secretary of Housing and Environment Department Mr. Ankit Anand, Commissioner Mr. Avnish Sharan, Chairman of the Board Mr. Anurag Singhdev along with senior officers of the department and a large number of beneficiaries were present.
