Team India’s bowling remained under question in the first two matches of the ODI series against South Africa. But in the third match, when Team India won the toss and decided to field first, its effect was also visible and the Indian bowlers showed their magic. Especially Prasidh Krishna and Kuldeep Yadav showed equal brilliance in derailing the South African innings and restricting it to a big score.

Team India came out to bowl first in the last match of the ODI series on Saturday 6 December in Visakhapatnam. Despite the wicket falling in the very first over, South Africa batted brilliantly and due to this the opener quinton dekockwho scored a brilliant century. During this, De Kock especially targeted the famous Krishna and hit him with sixes and fours.

In the last two matches too, Prasidh was beaten badly, due to which there were demands for his dropping. This time too he had given away 29 runs in his first 3 overs. But when Team India was in trouble, Prasidh made a comeback within 6 balls. In the 29th over of the innings, Prasidh first dismissed Matthew Bretzky and then sent back Aiden Markram, who had scored a century in the previous match, to the pavilion on the last ball. Kuldeep did it in the 39th over

Kuldeep Yadav did similar wonders after Prasidh. What Prasidh did in the 29th over, Kuldeep repeated it exactly 10 overs later in the 39th over. In this over, the star spinner completely put brakes on South Africa’s innings by dismissing Dewald Brevis and Marco Yanson within 3 balls. After this, like Prasidh, Kuldeep also ended all hopes of a big score by sending Corbin Bosch back to the pavilion in the 43rd over.

This miracle happened for the first time in Visakhapatnam

These two bowlers of Team India destroyed the explosive batting line-up of South Africa in the decisive match. In particular, Kuldeep continued his success on the Visakhapatnam ground and took the maximum of 4 wickets for just 41 runs in 10 overs. With this, he also became the first bowler to take more than 10 ODI wickets on this ground. Kuldeep now has 13 wickets in his name in just 5 innings on this ground.

As far as Prasidh is concerned, he was the one who ended South Africa’s innings. In the 48th over, Prasidh clean bowled Keshav Maharaj and all out South Africa for 270 runs. Prasidh proved to be a bit expensive this time too but he definitely took 4 wickets in his spell of 9.5 overs. Apart from these two, Ravindra Jadeja and Arshdeep Singh also got one wicket each.
