The fast of Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. On this day, Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, is worshipped. Also, fasting is observed on this day. When is Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi?
According to the Panchang, Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Paush month will start on 07th December i.e. tomorrow at 06.24 pm. This date will end on 08 December at 04:03 pm. In such a situation, Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi will remain tomorrow. Its fast will be observed tomorrow itself.
Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi Puja Muhurat
On the day of Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi, the auspicious time is said to be from 08:19 am to 01:31 pm. At the same time, the time of moonrise on this day is 07:55 in the evening. On December 07, Rahukaal will be from 04:06 pm to 05:24 pm.
Favorite offering of Lord Ganesha
- Lord Ganesha loves Modak the most, hence on the day of Akhurath Sankashti Chaturthi, offer 11 or 21 Modaks made of gram flour, rice flour or wheat flour.
- Lord Ganesha is very fond of Boondi and gram flour laddus, hence offer Boondi and gram flour laddus to Lord Ganesha.
- Offer banana fruit and jaggery sweetness to Lord Ganesha.
- On the day of Sankashti Chaturthi, offer boiled or roasted sweet potatoes to God.
By offering all the above mentioned offerings, Bappa becomes very happy and bestows blessings. It is believed that without these offerings the worship and fast of Bappa is incomplete.
