Ambedkar Statues Protection Plan: Yogi government has decided to start permanent security arrangements including installation of boundary walls and umbrellas wherever statues of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar are installed in the state.
Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a big decision regarding the safety of all the statues of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar installed in the state. On Saturday, December 6, on Mahaparinirvan Day of Baba Saheb, the CM clearly said that this is not just an administrative process, but an ideological respect for the creator of the Constitution. Considering this as its primary responsibility, the government has announced to strengthen security arrangements across the state.
Security of Ambedkar’s statues is the top priority of the government
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that wherever Baba Saheb’s statues are installed in the state, complete security arrangements will be ensured. He clarified that protecting the honor of the creator of the Constitution is not just a formality for the government, but a serious issue related to social justice and harmony. This step strengthens the government’s commitment towards the dignity and rights of the Dalit community.
Preparation to install boundary walls and umbrellas in all districts
The government is now going to start the construction work of boundary wall around the statues of Baba Saheb. Along with this, there is also a plan to install a canopy over each statue, so that the statues remain safe from the effects of weather. Officials have been instructed to immediately prepare a list of statues installed in all the districts and conduct a survey so that there is no delay in the construction work.
The dignity of the Constitution and social respect have the highest place
The state government again reiterated that giving highest place to the basic spirit of the Constitution and respect for the weaker sections of the society is the basis of its policy. The protection of Ambedkar’s statues is not being considered merely a symbolic action, but rather an attempt to put into practice the ideals on which Indian democracy stands.
