‘Babri’ built in Bengal, what happened in Ayodhya, will happen in Bengal too – Keshav Prasad Maurya

UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, who visited Mirzapur, gave a strong warning against the construction of Babri Masjid style mosque in West Bengal. Accused SP of voter list manipulation and claimed to form BJP government in Bengal in 2026.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya reached Mirzapur on Saturday on a one-day visit, but this visit was not limited to just administrative review. His statements intensified the political stir. It started with a departmental review meeting at Ashtabhuja Guest House, but in the press conference, he gave a strong warning on the construction of Babri Masjid style in West Bengal and said, “Just like the illegal structure was demolished in Ayodhya, similar action will be taken in West Bengal after the BJP government is formed in 2026.”

After this, Deputy CM reached Vindhyachal Dham and worshiped Mother Vindhyavasini Devi.

Sharp warning on construction of Babri style mosque in West Bengal

The foundation stone of a Babri Masjid style mosque was laid by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir at Beldanga in Murshidabad district. Responding to this, Keshav Prasad Maurya said that this step is going to spread tension in the state. He said- “BJP government is going to come in West Bengal in 2026. Whatever controversial construction takes place there, it will have the same fate as the illegal structures.” He also alleged that the state government is engaged in vote bank politics.

Serious allegations against SP from voter list to booth looting

In the press conference, Deputy CM targeted the Samajwadi Party. He said, “Those who used to come to power by manipulating voter lists and looting booths, now that era is over. The SIR system has stopped the politics of theft.”

Taking a dig at Akhilesh Yadav, he said, “Akhilesh used to say that he will win Magadh by winning Awadh, but he lost there too. He has no chance in UP till 2047.”

When he was questioned on his ‘CM waiting’ comment, he retorted, “You are not the national president of BJP. The government is doing excellent work under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, this is why the opposition is upset.”

High Court had also distanced itself from interference

A petition was filed in the High Court to stop the foundation stone of this Babri style mosque, which was rejected by the court. Also, instructions were given to the administration to ensure security arrangements. This decision has further heated up the politics of West Bengal.
